The magnifying glass is a fresnel lens.

The handheld Menu-Mate reading magnifier is slim and lightweight and enables one to easily position the fresnel lens to get the best possible viewing angle.

Based upon individual viewing needs you control how close or how far from the page to position the magnifying glass for the clearest view.

When the size of an object or text is increased through magnification, the viewable area will decrease. The elongated viewing area of the Menu-Mate reading magnifier increases the viewing space and allows you to more easily scan the object or text.
